Hello, fall! If you’re looking for a reason to get outside, put on a costume, or spend an afternoon with family and friends, there’s plenty happening close to home this October. Here are six local events to explore.

Pumpkins in the Park
Sunday, October 18 | 2–3 PM | Mowbray Park Pavilion
Bring your creativity for an afternoon of pumpkin decorating and Halloween crafts. All ages are welcome. The cost is $8 per person, and anyone taking part in the crafts must register by October 12. Christ Church of Kent Island’s 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat

Kinera Foundation’s 11th Annual Trunk or Treat
Sunday, October 25 | Noon–3 PM | 115 Sallitt Drive, Stevensville
Kinera’s inclusive celebration welcomes children of all abilities for decorated trunks, activities, treats, and a costume contest. Want to join the fun with a decorated trunk? Fall Family Weekends at Homestead Gardens

Howl-O-Ween Party

Maryland Corn Maze

Ready to get a little lost? Explore the 8-acre corn maze, then enjoy hayrides, farm animals, zip lines, corn pits, pedal tractors, and other farm activities.
